- Enhanced Oxford original OXuPCI954 UART (128 byte TX/RX FIFOs)
- 4 port adapter with EACH port configurable for RS232/RS422/RS485 modes
- Onboard RGB LED for each port denotes mode of port using a different color
- Full 9-wire DB9 Male RS232 DTE industry standard pin out with 4 x DB9M connectors
- Hardware Flow Control (RTS & CTS) in RS232 Mode
- RS422/RS485 port pins protected with IEC41000-2 (ESD) ±30kV (air), ±8kV (contact); IEC41000-4 (EFT) 40A (5/50ns); IEC41000-5 (Lightning) 12A (8/20 µs)
- RS485 mode supports 2W (half duplex; D+ / D-) & 4W (full duplex; TX+, TX-, RX+, RX-)
- Hardware controlled RS485 state machine auto-enables / disables the RS485 transmitter
- Fail-safe biased RS485 transceivers with 1/8th load permits upto 256 similar nodes
- Common termination & fail-safe biasing resistors with support for user custom values
- Full Height mounting bracket design
- High speed design (921k)
- Supported on Windows (32 & 64 bit), OSX (native support), 2.4.18+ Linux kernels (32 & 64 bit)
- DB37M to 4 x DB9M molded double-shielded cables included (36″ / 0.9m length; p/n C196-03)
